The Nasser The Goat brand traces its roots to Nasser’s Lounge, a cigar destination located in Pétion-Ville, Haiti. What began as a private-label cigar created by A.J. Fernandez for lounge owner Jeff Nasser quickly developed a following beyond its original audience, eventually earning broader distribution through AJ Fernandez Cigars.
The brand debuted with the eponymous Nasser The Goat cigar, a blend built around a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo binder, and all-Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, all handcrafted at Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua in Estelí. The blend quickly gained attention for its approachable yet flavorful profile, helping the cigar evolve from a lounge exclusive into a regular production release. The line expanded with the introduction of Nasser The Goat Connecticut, which takes the brand in a different direction through an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, paired with Honduran and Nicaraguan binders and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
While the two blends offer distinct smoking experiences, both showcase the philosophy behind the brand: premium cigars built around balance, accessibility, and flavor. With AJ Fernandez handling production and Jeff Nasser guiding the brand’s vision, Nasser The Goat has grown from a local Haitian exclusive into a developing portfolio that continues to expand while maintaining its connection to the lounge where it all began.
