The CAO Arcana Stokk cigar continues CAO’s limited Arcana series, a line focused on rare tobaccos and uncommon techniques. Created in collaboration with Denmark’s Peter Stokkebye pipe tobacco family, Stokk blends traditional cigar craftsmanship with classic pipe influences. Handmade at STG Estelí in Nicaragua, this limited 6″ x 52 belicoso stands out as one of the brand’s most experimental releases to date.
The blend features a U.S. Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, with a filler designed in two distinct stages. The first half showcases Dominican Andullo, a palm-pod fermented tobacco known for its dense, concentrated character. Midway through, Cyprian Latakia, a fire-cured pipe tobacco, takes the lead, supported by Honduran leaf.
What does the CAO Arcana Stokk cigar taste like?
The profile opens medium-bodied with rich earth, leather, and cocoa, driven by the depth of the Andullo tobacco. As the second half unfolds, the Latakia introduces a bold, smoky intensity reminiscent of a refined pipe blend. The transition is clear but balanced, moving from earthy richness to fire-cured character, making it an engaging smoke that pairs naturally with espresso, single malt Scotch, or Cabernet.
